Grant Writer, Dream Again Consulting

Southern Oregon Coast

Tara Johnson is an experienced grant writer who has secured millions in funding over the past decade, working with organizations that range from small community nonprofits to large international NGOs. Through Dream Again Consulting, she simplifies the grant writing process with a focus on clarity, storytelling, and data — helping organizations present their work in ways that resonate with funders and stand out in competitive review processes. Tara believes that great grant writing is really great communication: understanding what a funder cares about, connecting it honestly to what an organization does, and making the case in plain, compelling language. She brings that same directness to her teaching, helping development staff and executive directors build the skills to write grants they're proud of. Tara lives on the Southern Oregon Coast with her family and animals, and enjoys gardening, reading, and time with her grandchildren.
